PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Pflugerville City Council members approved the appointment of Suzette Richardson as the municipality’s new public works director at their Tuesday meeting.
The appointment was made during council’s regular meeting on May 28.
Robinson has more than 20 years of experience in public works management. Previously, she was the chief operations officer for the DC Department of Transportation, Director of Public Works for the City of Evanston, Illinois, and most recently the Administrator for the DC Department of Public Works Fleet Management Administration.
Robinson is designated as a Public Works Fellow by the American Public Works Association in recognition of her extensive experience in public works management. She has received accolades from associations for her commitment to sustainability and youth. Robinson has a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Master of Science in Management. She is also a recently retired Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserves.
Pflugerville’s Public Works Director oversees the water and wastewater systems, street and roadways maintenance, maintenance of city vehicles, chipping program and Recycle Center. Robinson will start in her new role at the beginning of June 2019.
